Saturday 28th November

Another week over, don’t know where the time has gone to. The weather has improved a little with just showers most days and less wind.

Unfortunately we have not had the chance to get any new photos done this week. Cas hurt her shoulder at the beginning of the week and has been taking it easy to let it recover.

We have spent some time going through some of our photos, and trying to sort out our hard drive to clear it up a bit. Sorting the photos is a long job as there are thousands of them and we never know where to start. We have only got most of them stored in date order so this makes finding a particular type of photo a long process, we have got thumbnails of the pics printed out so this helps.

Here are three of our photos; hope you like them.

Saturday 21st November

This week has been quite busy for us, we have had a couple of hospital visits with family; these seem to have gone quite well although further tests are needed to check nothing serious is wrong.

We managed to spend a couple of evenings with naturist friends and had a great time chatting in a relaxed atmosphere.

One of the main topics seemed to be the on-going bad weather. We have been very lucky in our area and avoided most of the storms. The west and north of the country have had really bad storms this week. there has been extensive flooding in some areas. There has even been bridges washed away in the floods. Our thoughts are with all those affected by the storms and flooding.

Hoping to get more time this week to do some more photos, and hopefully the weather will brighten up as well.

Saturday 14th November

This week seems to have been a bit of a washout for us. First Cas came down with a cold which left her feeling a little grotty and tired, then Jon re-hurt his knee. He had pulled the tendons in his knee a couple of months ago and just when we thought it was healing, he moved it wrong and started it off again.

This has meant that we have not been out and about much, so haven’t got that much to report this week. The weather has not been good either and we have not managed to take many photos during this week.

Today and yesterday we have been monitoring the weather across the country, we have been lucky in our area as although we have had heavy rain and wind it is nowhere near as bad as the south and west of the country. We hope everyone we know are ok that no-one has had a major problem due to the weather.

The wind speed has reached 100mph in places today and flooding has been reported in several places, there seems to be no sign of the storm finishing for a while yet.

Friday 6th November

The good weather seems to have gone now as winter gets nearer, we are finding that its a bit too cool to be nude outside anymore; we realise that the hardy naturists will be out still but this does not include us. We are now restricted to being nude only in the house till the weather gets warmer in the spring now unless we get some unseasonal warmth.

This means over the rest of the year we will be trying to concentrate on our photography. Winter never seems to inspire most people to take photos but it can be really worth while to keep the cameras out and take some colder weather photos. Not only can you get some really atmospheric pictures but you can always try different things.

We have been inspired by the assignments on the PhotographyBB forums, as it gives us a different topic for photos every two weeks. It can be fun interpreting the topic and seeing what can be done to capture the subject; it’s also great seeing all the entries from the other members.

White Pheasant

White Pheasant

This is a picture of something we have never seen before, a white pheasant seen in a field near Thetford. Not a very good photo but it was a long way away, but at least we got it.

Night Shot Of River

Night Shot Of River

This was taken on a evening walk around a local picnic area, it was almost total darkness and the camera had to be mounted firmly on a tripod. It required a 1 minute exposure, a bit hit and miss on the area included as it was too dark to see what was in the field of view of the camera. We think it came out well. We wish we had had with us our other camera with a view finder rather than just an lcd screen, as they are better in low light.
