Saturday 30th January

The end of another week and it has once again been snowing, not much this time just a little sprinkling over night. It’s now bright sunshine and the small amount of snow we had has melted.

The main highlight of our week has been going to our first naturist swim, we were a bit unsure of what to expect but it turned out to be a very nice evening.

The swim we went to was at Prested Hall, we had checked their website and phoned the organiser to make the arrangements. He was very helpful giving us more details of the swim and directions to the hall. Once there we meet him and were shown around the facilities, he explained the basic rules for the sauna and steam room as well.

Once we were sorted we ventured into the lovely pool and had a nice swim, we took it very easy as we did not want to make ourselves sore from doing too much. We meet some very nice people while we were there and everyone was friendly and helpful.

We have done a full report for Naturist-corner which will be added to the site shortly.

For more details of the swim see our link to their website.

Once again we have been busy with the site (naturist-corner) during the week, we have had several new members again and some lively discussions on various topics. A lot of members are now starting to think about their holidays for this year with many asking advice about various places, these queries are frequently answered by other members who have been to the various sites/countries. One of the main questions from newer members is where to go for the first time, and loads of advice has been given to these members about places to stay as well as beaches to visit if they do not wish to stay at a naturist site.

This week has been mainly wet and dull in this area, all the snow has now gone and the rivers are swollen with the melt. A lot of the fields have large puddles on them with the rest being very muddy. Because of this we have not been out much this week, and have spent a lot of time on the web site.

The site (Naturist–corner) is really taking off at the moment with loads of new members still joining. It’s great to see the cross section of people joining from all parts of the country, we have even had a few more people join us from other countries. This is great as they can let us know the views on naturism in their country and the best places to visit there including the beaches that are available for nudists. We welcome all reports on clubs/beaches/places that are used for naturism, as this helps us all when we are looking at where to go and things to do.

On another note today there has been a protest in London by a group of photographers protesting about the heavy handedness of the police in the stop and search measures they were given by the anti terror laws. They have been frequently stopping photographers telling them they can’t take photos in certain areas or of certain places as they could be used for terror purposes. This is not what the rules are actually there for and a recent ruling by the EU says that the law is not valid although this is being appealed at the moment. Full story can be read at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8476318.stm and there is a website and facebook page for the group that organise these events. This is the Bust Card that the group give out and encourage all photographers to carry, see the link for more details.

This week started off with the snow still causing chaos in most areas of the country, but during the week for us anyway it started thawing and then raining which has cleared all the snow here. There was still some left in Harwich area yesterday when we were visiting family, but at least all the roads were clear.

In the news the past few weeks there have been reports of quite a few accidents on the roads due to the weather conditions and we are grateful we have managed to stay safe during the cold spell and avoid any accidents.

Not sure if we have seen the last of the cold weather but at least we did manage to get some photos of it while it lasted. As the thaw now seems to be setting in we expect that there maybe flooding in some places as all the snow melts, hope this does not cause too many problems for people.

We have had quite a bit of work to do on the Naturist-corner forumĀ  this past couple of weeks with a influx of new members joining the site. This is great and we always welcome the new members and try to answer any queries they may have.

Well it’s certainly been a very cold and snowy week we had to visit some family in Felixstowe Suffolk on Wednesday and nearly got the car stuck in their car park due to the depth of the snow the car just sank.

The good news about all the snow is that when we went shopping the store was empty as no one wanted to be out in the bad weather,it has also given us the chance to get some lovely photos of the snow.

We had to make an emergency visit to the dentist as Jon managed to break a tooth and needed a filling this was done on Friday and on the way home we took the following pictures.

Well its our first post of the new year, hope you all had a good time over the festive period.

We have spent a relatively quiet week relaxing and avoiding the crowds of people at the sales in our local towns. Cas had to go and have a filling during the week, she was not looking forward to this as she hates dentists. It did however go fine in the end and she did not feel too rough.

We had to get new windscreen wiper blades on the car as they had started to jump a bit and were not clearing the screen properly. We had also noticed that the brakes seemed a bit poor lately and asked them to check them for us. It turned out that the rear caliper was sticking a bit and needed to be freed up, so this was done and the pads were checked as well.

We spent new years eve at some friends and had a great time bringing in the new year with them, listening to all the fireworks and boat horns as midnight brought in the new year. It also brought some more snow in this area and made our journey home a bit slower as the roads were slippery.
